🌿 Explore Well-Being in Nature Sessions for Children Ages 6-13

Are you a parent or guardian of a child aged 6-13 years, seeking opportunities for holistic well-being and skill-building?

Whether you’re home-schooling, concerned about your child’s mental health, or simply looking for enriching experiences, our sessions are designed for all children, regardless of their educational or personal circumstances.

Join us for a series of engaging sessions, made possible by the generous support of the “National Lottery Community Fund”.

Through exploration in nature, we delve into topics surrounding well-being, emphasising how our connection to the natural world can nurture feelings of happiness, peace, and calmness. Each session is thoughtfully crafted to cater to individual needs, with a focus on mental health and well-being strategies, while allowing room for spontaneous adventures and fun.

Our sessions are designed to link to the 5 NHS ways to well-being through our nature-inspired and forest school activities. By fostering connections with nature, promoting physical activity, encouraging mindfulness, fostering learning, and facilitating social interactions, we aim to support children in developing lifelong skills for well-being and resilience.

Dates for this Block:

  • June 13th & 27th
  • July 11th
  • Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm

Location: Smithills Forest School Site

This is by application only. To ensure that our sessions reach and support the children who need them most, we require interested participants to fill out a Strengths and Difficulties questionnaire as part of the application process. You can access the questionnaire here. This allows us to tailor our support and activities accordingly, ensuring that every child receives the assistance and attention they require to thrive.

Join us as we embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and fun amidst the beauty of Smithills Forest!
